Guitar Hero II gets three new international tunes
Next up is a French track by Pleymo called "Sept" which proves that no matter how loud your band is, no one will be intimated if you're singing in French. Finally, there's "Exile" by

Ummm.... Soilwork isn't from Germany... their from Helsingborg, Sweden..
RDX @ Oct 16th 2007 8:39AM
Whew...nice one with the Soilwork from Sweden High Charity. I was hoping that I wasn't going to be the only one to comment on that faux pas.
Justin McElroy @ Oct 16th 2007 9:39AM
Thanks for the heads up, gang. Post is fixed. Thanks for NOTHING Microsoft.
tyetheczar @ Oct 16th 2007 8:36AM
Uguu~. No J-rock songs, oy? I want my "God Knows"!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Avm7x0zj6nE
It's eargasmic!
waynski1457 @ Oct 16th 2007 8:56AM
The truth!!! You speak it!! But really, there is a LOT of j-rock that could easily work awesome with GH (HAMC!), but you get bonus points for being the first Haruhi reference I see today.
octoberasian @ Oct 16th 2007 1:38PM
I can name several J-Rock bands I want:
- L'arc en ciel (PLEASE!!)
- Asian Kung Fu Generation
- FLOW
But, most definitely L'arc en ciel.
StalkerB @ Oct 16th 2007 9:25AM
This is getting ridonkulous.
I've bought all the GH2 downloads so far at 500 points, but now it'll cost me 600 to get these ones. GH3 is just around the corner!
Looks like *Yarrr* Bay and Frets on Fire will be my new best friend.
pwnetheus @ Oct 16th 2007 9:25AM
One of the guys from Los Rodriguez looks like local joystiq fanboy celebrity Fernando Rocker.
Jerk Face @ Oct 16th 2007 9:44AM
That literally made me spit my coffee out laughing. I hate you forever.
Jerk Face @ Oct 16th 2007 9:47AM
Seriously, I can't stop laughing! My boss just yelled at me.
SG HighCharity @ Oct 16th 2007 9:39AM
No problem RDX... Someone's gotta point out Joystiqs retardedness when it comes to metal
Justin McElroy @ Oct 16th 2007 11:16AM
A. It wasn't our "retardness when it comes to metal" it was Activision's.
B. Thank you for the compliment.
eurotransient @ Oct 16th 2007 9:47AM
With GH3 a mere two weeks away, isn't this a little too late? Maybe they're just trying their best to live up to their claim back in April of GH2 providing the most downloadable content of any game on XBLM? Too little, too costly, too late.
I am all for some international music, though.
rokerovakero @ Oct 16th 2007 11:22AM
Funny, those Los Rodriguez are very much unheard of in the whole spanish talking world, yet "no papers" sounded like a good song choice for all of us latins, "they all got no papers so let's give them this song!" if you really wanna rub it in add "Born in the U.S.A." lol
Gonzalo @ Oct 16th 2007 12:07PM
b*tch, please. your neighborhood (or country) doesn't encompass the "whole spanish talking world". they are very much heard of where i come from, and are easily one of the top 5 rock bands of the 90s.
Craig Ravitch @ Oct 16th 2007 12:07PM
And THIS is why I have yet to purchase a single piece of DLC from Red Octane for GHII!! They charge you 500 MS points for 3 songs and now these mother F@#$%&*'s are now trying to charge gamers 600 MS points for all 3 songs, talk about raking you over the coals!!! F U Red Octane!!!
frankgom @ Oct 16th 2007 2:25PM
It's amazing how u.s. people ignorance keeps surprising me, btw, los rodriguez is one of the most famous bands in Argentina, they're not spanish, but they're well known in Spain (you know that country to the left of mexico).
What I tried to tell you is that your statement is like saying that Bruce Springsteen is an English singer.
Document yourself before writing bullshit.
ogvor @ Oct 16th 2007 3:56PM
I want the Final Countdown!
SeriousKriss @ Oct 16th 2007 4:10PM
Gah. France has so many better bands than Pleymo...
By the way Justin, try listening to Belenos, and tell me you're not intimidated :)
