The numbers on the RIGHT side are the amount by how much the sales went up or down right?

So for example the Wii only went down by 126 units right? While the ps3 went down by a huge 1,543 units?

Good for MS going up...6,000+ for a week in Japan isn't half bad.

So, where are the NDF to explain the continued sales decline of Wii? It was only a few weeks ago that it was pushing 100k+ units/week.

Lack of games? That didnt stop sales before.
Sold out everywhere? lol
Shipping region locked units to NA? lol

Seems like the WiiMobile is puttering off like the one trick pony (WiiSports) that it is.

Lol its funny how you ALWAYS show up in the Japan sales charts yet you mysteriously shut your mouth up when the global sales (you know the ones that REALLY matter?) come out.

As for the sales this week I'll just sum it up for you:

1) The Wii is still beating the ps3.
2) The ps3 still sucks.
3) The ps3 is going to continue to suck

Therefore I don't need to "defend" anything regarding the Wii. I'm perfectly happy with how its doing and how its kicking sony's arrogant ass.

1) Yes, it is, its cheaper, so wth?
2) Have you ever owned one to be able to tell if it sucks or not? or are you basing your opinion on what SOMEONE else said?
3) Are you serious?If you are going to base your comments on that, then the Wii sucks too, because guess what, there are AWFUL games for the Wii, and hell, if I wasnt sleepy I would get you the average rate of the Wii games, which is on the 60s....as of last week, I think the PS3 still had the best average rating out of the 3 consoles...AND IM USING FACTS, go to Metacritic, do a little research and you ll be surprise of the craptastic gaming library or the Wii compared to the PS3...and well, since the Wii has nothing else to offer other than games unlike the PS3, it does KIND OF make the Wii suck, doesn't it?

Can you be more stupid? Nintendo has decreased manufacturing of Japanese Wii's to make more North American Wii's, hence, less sales in Japan, and the Wii breaking 500,000 in September while selling out. How about your ps3. They're stacked up high where I live.

ok, here facts:

Wii: 92 games, Average rating of 62.71%
360: 274 games, Average rating of 70.01%
PS3: 86 games, Average rating of 72.66%

and just for the hell of it

PS2: 1487 games, Average Rating of 68.45% (take in mind that games are still being released for it, poorly ported tho)
DS: 312 games, Average Rating of 64.31%
PSP: 325 games, Average Rating of 67.47%

Nice work Noshino, but I don't think average review scores for a system matter much, since you're not required to buy a couple great games, a couple mediocre games, and some shovelware. Most people just want the greatest games, or whatever's tailored to their specific gaming interests. Here are some numbers from Metacritic:

Games 75 and up:
360: 119
PS3: 45
Wii: 15

Games 80 and up:
360: 73
PS3: 29
Wii: 8

Games 85 and up:
360: 27
PS3: 8
Wii: 4

Games 90 and up:
360: 9
PS3: 1
Wii: 3

Games 95 and up:
360: 2
PS3: 0
Wii: 1

So if you like every single mediocre piece of shit game that gets a 75, it's clear that you want a 360. If you like every single game that gets an 80, you want a 360 and maybe a PS3 on the side. Once your tastes are really high, above 90 or 95, you're a Wii60 fan.

And one of those games is the Orange Box, which does me good on my PC. You can get 2 out of the 3 highest rated games with a 360, and you can also get 2 out of 3 with a Wii and a PC. So if you hold out for the 1337est of the 1337 games, Wii's not such a bad idea anymore.

Seriously, only one original title for the Wii above 90? Shameful, even with SMG and SSBB undoubtedly making that number go up to 3, it doesn't warrant a buy from me. I guess I'll be borrowing a Wii from a friend and playing SMG and MP3, then just playing SSBB at his house.

Rubang, out of curiosity, which Wii titles do you own? I think some of them are those "75 pieces of shit" you mentioned earlier ;)

Oops yeah I meant Guitar Hero 3. Man I've been up all night writing this damn mid-term on Buddhism and it's rotting my brain.

If I had to describe myself, I'd say my standards are very high but my tastes are very weird, and I admit I'll lower my standards for nostalgia (Rampage, Bust-a-Move, Alien Syndrome), or to try out weirder games with weirder controls (Elebits, Kororinpa, Trauma Center).

I also almost never pay attention to reviewers. I think reviewers (who get paid to play games) are by definition all hardcore, and a majority of them are anti-Wii due to "weird controls" that they feel threaten traditional gaming, and due to the lack of HD. I think every single Wii game is underscored due to this, and I think every single PS3 game is scored too highly because reviewers desperately WANT the platform to succeed. Over half of the PS3 games are in the green at metacritic, and I refuse to believe that half of a system's games are worth even a minute of my gaming time. I seriously believe over 90% of all games are shit, no matter the platform.

But hey, I didn't list which games I actually liked yet.

I was most surprisingly impressed with (not listing the obvious good ones like Metroid/Zelda/Paper Mario, etc.):
Elebits
Excite Truck
Godfather
Kororinpa
Sonic and the Secret Rings
Super Swing Golf

I was most disappointed with (not listing obvious sucktitute like Cooking Mama/Rampage/Wii Play):
Alien Syndrome (haven't tried it sober yet though)
Big Brain Academy (weak-ass 2p multiplayer)
Marvel Ultimate Alliance (totally nerfed version of X-Men Legends)
Tiger Woods (by comparison with Super Swing Golf)
TMNT (not even multiplayer, wtf?)

Bonus:
I played Red Steel all the way through and liked it. But I'll never touch it again. No replay value, and the multiplayer sucks. For comparison, I didn't even play all the way through Doom 3 'cuz it got so damn boring. I'm really really jaded when it comes to shooters. And I still call them all "Doom clones."

And I think Metal Slug Anthology was the best deal of this generation until the Orange Box came out.

I feel the same way as Rubang.

I find the review scores given out during this generation particularly puzzling. Many of the critics seem to have lost sight of "enjoyment" and focus on technicalities. They can't see the forest for the trees (or, in this case, they can't see the gameplay for the pixels). Some extremely generic but very pretty games have gotten excellent scores, but I'm bored to death playing them. Some innovative and fun games with a few rough corners have gotten horrible scores, but I enjoy these games very much.
