Ballroom Blitz is a pretty nice surprise.
rom @ Oct 29th 2007 1:52PM
I've actually grown to hate that damned song. lol I guess I'm the only one.
Anyways...
I'm still waiting for one of these games to have some ACDC already! Come on guys, first one to "Highway to Hell" wins!
GoldenS1104 @ Oct 29th 2007 5:30PM
It was on the 80's edition of Guitar Hero. It was ok. Not great.
Sean @ Oct 29th 2007 5:45PM
Ah, I haven't played 80's Edition. But I enjoy the song a lot so I'm going to keep an open mind. Plus it will be more than just guitar, so maybe it will be better this time around.
License to ill @ Oct 29th 2007 12:34PM
No bob the price ain't right.......Bitch.
copa @ Oct 29th 2007 12:42PM
You can buy the game for $60. Use the GH2 Xplorer or the GH3 Les Paul for guitar and bass. Get a $20 USB mic, or use your console headset to sing.
If you want to play drums, or need additional guitars, yep, that costs more.
License to ill @ Oct 29th 2007 2:05PM
I'll get it next year when you can buy the game and drums...
I have to many other 360 games to get in the next two months
Dravir @ Oct 29th 2007 12:36PM
Awesome set list, guess I'll be owning Rock Band as well as Guitar Hero 3 instead of just one or the other.
Billiam247 @ Oct 29th 2007 1:29PM
Or just make friends and split the cost of the bundle.
Benjamin Breeg @ Oct 29th 2007 12:38PM
Run to the fucking Hills?!
That is fucking crazy, I can't wait until this god damn game is finally announced and released for the wii.
Crono (NDF - Knight of the Old School) @ Oct 29th 2007 1:04PM
Its already been announced.
Benjamin Breeg @ Oct 29th 2007 1:08PM
Yeah, well I don't give a shit, I wanted to leave a comment about the song being in the game, and I'm not gonna dig back through all the old updates to find the first announcement.
T3H WICKERMAN (FDF) @ Oct 29th 2007 1:54PM
are you the reincarnation of benjamin? UP THE IRONS!!!!
Tony @ Oct 29th 2007 12:45PM
Awwww yayeah The New Pornographers!!!!!!!!!
Kevin @ Oct 29th 2007 12:46PM
Oh what I would give for just one 311 song in any of these games...
Oh well. Maybe next time.
FOXHOUND @ Oct 29th 2007 12:49PM
Like "Down"? :]
Vegeta (aka Ska Oreo) @ Oct 29th 2007 2:27PM
Lol, down would be an awesome song to play in Rock Band.
colin @ Oct 29th 2007 9:35PM
huge 311 fan right here.
generic @ Oct 29th 2007 12:51PM
Maps?! Wow, my fiancée's gonna freak.
colin @ Oct 29th 2007 9:38PM
Jessie Spano ?!?! you two finally tying the knot?
generic @ Oct 29th 2007 10:35PM
When I asked, her answer was "I'm SO excited!"
pasht @ Oct 29th 2007 12:55PM
I have to say, this setlist whoops GH3's ass. That's not to say GH3 has a bad setlist, I'm loving the hell out of it right now. But this one just walks all over it in my opinion. It's interesting to see the overlap between the two: Mississippi Queen, Cherub Rock, Sabotage, and When You Were Young are the ones that I can see without looking up the GH3 list.
Also, if I may say, and I know I'm gonna take crap for this, but Foreplay is gonna be fun as hell on drums.
Rubang B (NDF - Heart) @ Oct 29th 2007 6:07PM
I disagree! I wish I could play "Wave of Mutilation," "Don't Fear the Reaper," and "Sufragette City" on my GH3, but I think GH3 is better as a whole!
Hollywood Ron @ Oct 29th 2007 12:56PM
Pleasantly surprised by the track list. Looks good to me.
FidliousWong @ Oct 29th 2007 12:58PM
Was kinda hoping for some Damone, Rasmus, Kill Hannah, or Refreshments but not a bad setlist in the slightest.
Yuccadude @ Oct 29th 2007 1:06PM
What I still don't understand is why they have Rush, but it's a freaking cover. I mean, the band is still touring, they are pretty popular, so why couldn't they just have them come in and record a master track? I'm not sure how hard it would be, but it would be worth it in my opinion.
Mort @ Oct 29th 2007 1:07PM
Can we skip the songs from the 2000's? There's really nothing on there that I'd want to play.
bounchfx @ Oct 29th 2007 1:20PM
poor baby.
In other news, just got back from playing it at best buy and it was awesome, as usual.
Kinger @ Oct 29th 2007 2:41PM
Dude, you played rockband at best buy?
SirMal @ Oct 29th 2007 1:23PM
Ball...room... Blitz...
YEEEAAAH!
The other tracks are pretty sweet too (except FoB)
I also can't believe there's a New Pornographers track in there.
MechaDEVO @ Oct 29th 2007 1:26PM
no Megadeth in either game?
GH3 wins for the metal crowd.
Will still get RB though.
lionzub @ Oct 29th 2007 1:50PM
I'm actually pretty happy that The Killers song got into Rock Band as well because I love that tune. Would love to see some Power Metal in some of these games though like Dragonforce in GH3. New guitar, drumkit, mic and game for $159 bucks for the PS2 version sounds good to me, I can use my GH2 controller for bass.
Kinger @ Oct 29th 2007 4:11PM
From what i understand we can't use our old GH2 guitars for rockband. That's a little ridiculous if you ask me
Zootittles @ Oct 29th 2007 2:08PM
Those are some freakishly long forearms that singer has.
maxx @ Oct 29th 2007 2:13PM
Tom Sawyer is a COVER!?!?!? Who the hell did they find that can do that voice? My hopes for this game just dropped dramatically.
Sean @ Oct 29th 2007 2:42PM
Hopefully they called up Matt Maiellaro.
The creature thus be born!
The creature thus be formed!
LlamaFarmer @ Oct 29th 2007 3:00PM
@maxx: Probably the lead singer of Coheed.
maxx @ Oct 29th 2007 3:33PM
Of salesmen!
Yeah I could see Matt doing it. What a freakin bummer though. With everything Harmonix has going for them, you'd think they could have landed more master recordings than this. There's a few other covers that I'm not crazy about, but this one more than any other kills me. I'll still buy it, but now I'll be doing it begrudgingly instead of enthusiastically.
UpIrons @ Oct 29th 2007 2:37PM
Up the Irons!!
Sieged Eagle @ Oct 29th 2007 3:02PM
F-F-F-Fall out boy!?! C'mon Harmonix, you could've chosen a better band than that one. =/
I can predict this song will be the "Yes we can" of Rock Band, unless it doesn't suck. If it does, it'll get that title.
jc @ Oct 29th 2007 4:23PM
That's a friggin amazing list. This is a must buy this holiday... price be damned.
monkeymonkeymonkey @ Oct 29th 2007 4:30PM
When will it be confirmed that the Guitar Hero 3 wireless guitar will works with Rock Bank ?
Crono (NDF - Knight of the Old School) @ Oct 29th 2007 4:46PM
Never, because apparently they don't.
Joe @ Oct 29th 2007 4:42PM
Rock Band is my number one game.
It's all I'm asking for for Christmas.
Seriously.
Donald @ Oct 29th 2007 5:13PM
"Metallica "Enter Sandman
OH
FUCK
YES!!
Nudgenudge @ Oct 29th 2007 6:04PM
Kick-ass playlist, but DAMN, I wanted Joker & the Thief by Wolfmother.
Honestly, even if it's DLC, Rock Band will be a must-buy for me (in March, EU inside. And thank God for that, I wouldn't have the budget for November).
Nicholas Muldoon @ Oct 29th 2007 7:25PM
New Pornographers?!?!? Holy Fuck, finally some indie rock in Rock Band. This almost makes up for them choosing the worst song Radiohead ever made.
Einhanderkiller @ Oct 29th 2007 7:42PM
I wish the game had Muse. Oh well, maybe it'll come later as downloadable content.
colin @ Oct 29th 2007 9:37PM
Jessie Spano ?!?! you two finally tying the knot?
Purple Haze @ Oct 29th 2007 9:42PM
Run To The Hills = Yay!
