To be honest, this new pack for
Guitar Hero III is kind of a snooze-a-roo. It's the three Boss Battle songs (Tom Morello and Slash's tunes and "The Devil Went Down to Georgia"), now playable in the game outside of career mode. So, yes, boring. But it's free, so all is forgiven. On the downside, the pack is only for 360 so far, with no similar announcement on PS3 or Wii. We'll see what
PSN Thursday brings.
What's more interesting is that it's been exactly one calendar week since we got
the last chunk of DLC for the game. Does this mean that we can expect the same weekly schedule that
Rock Band is sporting? If Activision hopes to keep their series competitive with the oncoming juggernaut, it wouldn't be the worst idea.

Lmao, my girlfriend is the same way. She started off on easy, and watching her progress to expert was possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen.
Perhaps apart from her forcing me to give her turns at the UT3 demo...

I bought the Velvet Revolver Pack for Slither and She Builds Quick Machines, and I was surprised at how good of a song Messages is. Also, Tom Morello is who I usually play as if I don't want to be the Grim Ripper.

These songs are already on the disc. I get the feeling they planned to charge for the standalone play packs, and then realized they would come across like total douches after Rock Band made all these great DLC announcements.

I will get this pack as it is free and whatnot, but I am at the f! Guitar Hero stage, the note charts and hammer on placement is just stupid. Can't wait for Rock Band so I can officially retire Guitar hero.
Now I can understand that's just an opinion, blah blah blah, just wanted to vent.

I didn't care about DLC until now actually.
I actually kinda like the Lou boss fight and wanted to play against a friend but can't.

glad to see this finally happened. The jam songs are less important imo, but the Lou battle doesn't unlock a related song.
