GripShift to race to XBLA sometime this year

The game, which was originally released for the PSP in 2005, already made the leap to the PlayStation Network, and while its big screen debut was not as warmly received as it was originally, the game nonetheless marks a welcome addition to any download service, provided the price is right. While GripShift is good fun, we hope the game abandons its weighty $10 PSN price for something a bit more reasonable, say 500 Microsoft Points. Improved textures and sounds aside, this is still a two year old PSP game at heart, and holiday shopping has our wallets feeling a bit peckish.

If you only KNEW how mind numbingly difficult and complex this game got, you wouldn't be huzzahing the e-penis. I'm sure there will be a couple "bones" thrown but to truly beat this game is insanely difficult. As in ramping off an ice platform into the side of a cliff at just the right angle and drop to one of 5 stars needed. Or needing to boost along a road half the size of your car, balancing it all the way just so that you have the needed speed to make the finish line. I'd rank this game harder than Monkey Ball 2.

I dunno - didn't care for the PSN version much.

PSN version was lacking two features.

Local Multiplayer
The game is very nice for a budget price regardless.

500 points? You want it for $6.25...?

Friggin' Microsoft and their points. You have to break out a calculator to figure out how much something costs in actual money.
No local multiplayer is what killed this title for me. It was vaguely amusing as a single player title, but I want to be able to hand out controllers to my friends and play it Mario-Kart style... but no dice. If I'd known there was no local multiplayer I probably wouldn't have gotten it at all.

Looks like the old rail racer MegaRace.
umm....hello??? @ Nov 28th 2007 2:12PM
I played the demo on my PS3...this game sucks. There's much better racing games out there, and too many other games this holiday season to waste my money on a casual game...

I think it was an ok game I personnally dont think the 800 point 10 buck cost is too much to ask as it is a full feature game. Perspective is really interesting if you look at some of the Popcap games people go oh those are too high yet the PC iterations of these games were around 20 bucks originally so live has made those games cheaper at 10 bucks. Alot of indendent games ship at the 20 buck mark to on the PC.
I really am interested in what they add to this game I have it on PSN and its an alright game. But unless they add something special and dont on the PSN I probably wont buy it though multiplayer even if on both migh sway me to get it if my friends really like it.
On another note man my browser is wierd well I hope its my browser, comments have a cyan(blue) background with like a dark green text.

Awesome, I almost bought it on PS3 several times. Glad to see it's coming to XBLA. And it will be $10. Why even comment otherwise?
